JOSEPH P. LOPINTO, III is a lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish. As a graduate of Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, he began his law enforcement career in 1997 when he enrolled in the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office recruit academy and served for nearly 8 years as a Deputy and Narcotics Detective.
During these years, Mr. Lopinto continued his education, earning an Associates and a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Delgado and Loyola Universities. Upon completion of his collegiate studies, he went on to earn his Law Degree from Loyola University School of Law in 2004. He is the managing partner of Lopinto Law Firm, LLC, a Metairie law firm that is engaged in a general civil practice and specializes in civil rights defense of Sheriff’s Offices and their employees.
Mr. Lopinto continued his public service when he was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2007 and was re-elected twice by his constituents.
